Agreement

Companies & individuals not employed by Chicago Harbors and/or Westrec SMI are welcome to perform work on Chicago Park District property if they understand & comply with MARINA Rules and Standards.

Liability & Workers Compensation Insurance

Provide valid certificate of liability insurance (min. $1,000,000 aggregate) including proof of Worker’s Compensation Coverage for all employees who will enter property to perform work must be on file prior to starting any activity. Policies shall contain a provision that cancellation or reduction in coverage shall not be effective only upon 30 days advance written notice to the Chicago Harbors Main Office.

Additionally Insured

Chicago Park District and Westrec SMI, OpCo must be listed on both the Policy and COI as additionally insured.

Safety

All Work & Activity on the MARINA property must be done in a safe and clean manner, including operating in compliance with all Federal, State & Local applicable laws & regulations, including but not limited to OSHA, NFP, NEC and US Coast Guard.

Engine/Generator/System Repairs

Permittees are permitted to undertake minor projects regarding the care and maintenance of their Boats. Work above the rail or in the interior of the boat may be performed if it presents no hazard and creates no nuisance and does not interfere with other work in the immediate vicinity being performed by Harbor employees or other permittees, captains or crew. Other than employees or approved subcontractors of Harbor, only permittees employees who normally operate the boat may perform work. Hull repairs, major engine repairs/overhaul, sanding and painting, major carpentry/rebuilding projects and other like repair or maintenance work is prohibited. Approval to perform work other than normal maintenance must be obtained in writing from the harbor staff.

Parking Cards and IDs

Parking Cards must be hung from rear view mirror and be visible. Altering, counterfeiting or reproduction, copying or any misuse of parking cards will result in a fine, revocation of parking (s) and/or revocation of access to harbor premises. Parking Cards are only valid during the harbor season and for the purpose of performing the services described above. I understand that I am responsible for the use of all parking cards issued. All vendors or vendor employees must wear a Vendor photo ID at all times while working in the Chicago Harbors System.

Vendor Conduct

I understand that I am responsible for the conduct of all employees while on harbor premises. Any inappropriate actions of myself or my employees may result in the denial of access by that person or of myself and all employees of my company.
Agreement(Required)
