This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how the Chicago Harbors and the Chicago Harbors COVID-19 Task Force (the “Task Force”) collects, uses and shares personal information of consumer users of the website, bit.ly/SafeBoaterPledge (the “Site”).

WHAT WE COLLECT:

  • E-mail addresses
  • Boater names
  • Boater demographics (age, ZIP Code, and boating activity profile)

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:

The Task Force will use your information as follows:

  • The Task Force will use your information to verify one pledge submission per person
  • The Task Force will use your information to build a respondent demographic report of where submissions come from and the types of boater who have responded
  • If necessary, The Task Force will use the information to support the pledge authenticity to state and local government officials
  • The Task Force may use your information to better inform the Task Force’s direction on advising public policy due to COVID-19

SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:

  • The Task Force will not share your personal information with any third party.
  • The Task Force will not share your personal information for the purposes of marketing or advertising with the Chicago Harbors, Westrec Marinas, or the Chicago Park District.
  • The Task Force will share with state and local government officials only if specifically requested for the purposes of validating pledge authenticity.
